Building: The Science Building was completed and
opened for use in September 1939. It was a modern brick structure with
general class rooms, a large lecture room, and laboratory facilities for
work in the natural and physical sciences and household arts.
Course: A general survey of the nature of matter and forces
operation in the universe, with special emphasis upon fundamentals of
astronomy, chemistry, physical geography, and physics. A foundation for
understanding the place of physical science in every day life. Two hours
of group discussion and two hours demonstration a week, through the year.
