Center for
the Improvement of Early Reading Achievement--An archival website, the
center's major mission was to improve the reading achievement of America's
children.
Children Defense Fund--This
website's major mission to ensure that no child is left behind.
Child Trends Data Bank--Source
documents national statistics and research on indicators of child and youth
well-being.
Cumberland County Schools--Site
serves as the gateway to information in elementary education for Cumberland
County School District.
Foundation for Child Development--
Site dedicated to the principle that all families should have the social
and material resources to raise their children to be healthy, educated and
productive members of society.
Franklin Porter Graham Child Development Institute--A component of the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, this institute's major goal is to
cultivate and share knowledge that will enhance child development and family
well being.
Harvard Education Letter--Sponsored by Harvard Graduate School of Education,
this series of articles focuses on education in preschool through grade three.
In addition to articles, the site provides the researcher with a comprehensive
lists of additional websites on selected topics in early childhood
education.
National
Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER)-- Research based, this site
supports early childhood education initiatives by providing nonpartisan
information to the researcher.
National
Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)--This organization
is committed to improving the well-being of all children from birth to
eight years old.
Public Schools of North Carolina
Success INC--Located at the state's Department of Education website, this
resource supports efforts to meet the needs of all young children and their
families through in-service, networking and collaboration among early childhood
professionals.
Smart Start--An private and public sponsored initiative in North Carolina
committed to helping children 0-5 enter school healthy and ready to succeed.
United States
Department of Education--Serving as one of the largest repositories of
information in education, this site provides an abundance of resources on
the quality of education in the United States.
Zero
to Three--This organization's major mission is to promote the healthy
development of youch children fro infancy to three.
