What is Off-Campus Access?
Off Campus Access is available for most of the Library's online resources. FSU students, faculty and staff and students enrolled in the University's On-Campus and Off-Campus Distance Education programs may access electronic resources from computers located off campus.

All FSU students, faculty and staff and students enrolled in the University's classes may access electronic resources off campus.
What can I do with Off-Campus Access?
the same activities you can do when on a computer in the library (well almost!). There are a very few databases that are restricted to users in the Library or on-campus.
NetLibrary can be used Off Campus after you set up a free account using a computer in Chesnutt Library or in a computer lab on campus.
NetLibrary provides access to full text electronic books purchased by the Library. To access NetLibrary eBooks, you must first create an account using a computer in Chesnutt Library or in a computer lab on-campus. When you visit the NetLibrary home page you will see the logo for FSU in the top right of the screen. You will also find a "Create a Free Account" link in the top right of your screen above the logo. Select this link to create a user name (use your email address, i.e. abronco@uncfsu.edu) and password you can use to check out the library's eBooks either from within the library or remotely using any computer with Internet access.
How do I get Off Campus Access?
In order to access resources from off-campus, patrons must identify themselves as FSU affiliates by entering their name, University ID number (830 number or Banner ID number) and library PIN.
What is my PIN?
A PIN (or Personal Identification Number) is your secret code which is known only to you and which guarantees the privacy of your library record. When selecting your PIN, you may use letters, numbers, or a combination of letters and numbers. There must be at least four characters. Create a PIN now
YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON WHO KNOWS YOUR PIN! If you forget your PIN then you can go to the "Forgot PIN" Link in "My Library Record," or contact the Circulation Desk 910-672-1231 and ask Library staff to delete your PIN so that you can create a new one.

What is Interlibrary Loan?
Interlibrary loan is a library service that students, faculty, and staff can use to request books or photocopies of articles from other libraries.
How do I use Interlibrary Loan?
Interlibrary Loans are requested through an online form accessed through the library's home page. First time users are asked to register, for free, and create a username and password. It is important to remember your username and password. Using your username and password you can monitor your Interlibrary Loan transactions; what have you requested, when did you request the item, has it arrived yet. When the Interlibrary Loan arrives the Interlibrary Loan Librarian will contact you.
